The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) is seeking three Clinical Research Coordinators to join its research team. The clinical trials for the three areas are focused on valve, heart failure, and vascular. Now in its 32nd year, MHIF is one of the leading non-profit cardiovascular research and education institutions in the country. We exist to create a world without heart disease and our mission is to improve people’s lives through the highest quality cardiovascular research and education. With almost 70 full time employees, we conduct cutting-edge clinical research and transformative community research.


As a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC), you will provide support, coordination and leadership for research studies that may involve industry sponsored Phase I, II, III and IV clinical trials, drug, biologic, device, government-funded clinical research and investigator-initiated clinical research. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth, accurate progress of studies form the planning and approval stages through study completion and post-study closure. Incumbents prepare documentation for submission for review by the Institutional Review Board (IRB); recruit and screen study participants; help facilitate continued participation; abstract data from medical records and other sources; develop and ensure compliance with study protocols; and participate in the planning, development and budgeting for clinical trials.


The successful candidates for the valve and heart failure openings must have a valid Minnesota RN license and either an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years clinical experience and cardiovascular experience. The successful candidate for the vascular opening will have at least two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Tech (CVT), clinical cardiovascular experience or cardiovascular imaging experience. All applicants should have proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and electronic medical record systems (Epic). We are looking for individuals with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills who will work cooperatively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities are required. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator/Professional (CCRC or CCRP) certification.
