Women’s Heart Health

The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation’s Women’s Heart Health Program is women-centered, and through our education, clinical care and research programs, we are ensuring that all women have access to resources to enhance their health and well-being.

  • Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death for women
  • 1 out of every 3 women will develop cardiovascular disease
  • Women are more likely to die with their first heart attack compared to men
  • Fewer than three in 10 women perceive cardiovascular disease as their greatest health threat.
