The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation Center for Coronary Artery Disease welcomes Dr. Parth Desai as the Frank J. and Eleanor Maslowski Charitable Trust CHIP-CTO fellow as of July 1, 2026.

Desai earned his medical degree from the University of Baroda in India, graduating summa cum laude and receiving multiple gold medals. He then moved to Chicago, where he completed an internal medicine residency at Cook County Health and earned a Master of Science in clinical research from Rush University.

He continued his training at Loyola University Medical Center, where he spent one year conducting translational cardiovascular research focused on atrial fibrillation and myocardial remodeling, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He then completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center in Texas and a structural heart disease fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Before joining Allina Health, Desai practiced for one year as an interventional and structural cardiologist in the Quad Cities, Iowa.
