Homemade Taco Seasoning with Less Sodium

Managing blood pressure is vital for cardiovascular health, and reducing sodium intake is one way to support that goal. While many people focus on the salt shaker at the table, it’s easy to overlook the sodium hidden in processed foods like pre-packaged seasoning mixes. These convenient packets are frequently loaded with sodium that can increase blood pressure and harm your heart health.

By mixing your own spice blends at home, you not only cut down on sodium, but also can tailor the flavor to your individual taste. Try swapping store-bought taco seasoning for this make-at-home mix to prioritize heart-smart seasoning.
