Carmen rejoined the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation board of directors in 2024 after a brief break, having previously served from 2014 to 2020. She brings more than 26 years of experience as a chief financial officer in both public and privately held medical device companies, along with over 15 years in the broader health care industry.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Carmen is passionate about MHIF’s mission and was inspired to serve after meeting Dr. Robert Hauser and learning about the remarkable cardiovascular research and education underway, as well as the dedication of MHIF physicians to improving community heart health one patient at a time.
